H2 unit no. 1 000 – A milestone
Some moments define progress. For us at Hydroware, one of those moments came in October 2025, when a TractionElite H2 MRL-S stood ready in our test station in Alvesta. This was no ordinary unit. It was the 1 000th H2 unit to leave our factory, almost exactly two years after the official launch of the H2 controller at Interlift 2023. A truly historic day.
Fast forward to a frosty December morning in Hamar, Norway. We arrived at a residential complex where this very unit had just been installed. The lift had recently been inspected, approved, and had been running smoothly throughout the weekend. We walked past the green Orona van, parked in front of the building, and entered. We were greeted by the Orona Norway representatives Morten Larsen, Modernisation and Replacement Sales; Kjetil Grönvold, Lift Installer; and Glenn Selvik, Service Operation Director. It was with great pride that we presented the award for becoming the owners of the world’s 1 000th H2 unit.
Celebrating the 1 000th H2 Installation
The order was placed by Morten Larsen, Modernisation and Replacement Sales at Orona Norway, and installed by Kjetil Grönvold. Both were impressed by the performance and flexibility of the TractionElite H2. Morten Larsen highlighted especially how the MRL-S configuration offers an excellent solution for modernising old Monospace lifts.

The building had been without a functioning lift for a long time. Now, it is running smoothly and reliable, just like new. Residents are delighted with the improved ride quality and appreciate that it is now an open system promising them flexibility for the future. This installation was the first of five in the residential complex with the following units being installed in 2026.
This was the first MRL-S that I have installed, and it is an innovative solution. The residents love that the only visible part outside the shaft is the MAP cabinet. I am really looking forward to getting my hands on the next ones.”

Production of H2 units continues to accelerate in Alvesta, with the system rapidly establishing itself as a favourite among lift companies. The MRL‑S installation in Hamar marks a historic milestone as the 1 000th H2 unit. And with demand showing no signs of slowing, we expect to reveal the location of unit number 2 000 sooner rather than later.

TractionElite H2
MRL-S | Shaft
MRL-S is one of our three traction lift MRL configurations. It offers exceptional flexibility, allowing the controller to be installed vertically or horizontally inside the shaft. The MAP cabinet, placed outside the shaft, includes the HMI with evacuation procedures and an emergency stop.
